Many stories start with a WHY?, so I thought, I would start mine by telling you why I decided to become a Health and Wellbeing Coach.
Over the last couple of years, I have been fortunate enough to have lived an active & healthy life, experiencing the benefits of nurturing the body and mind and listening to my body. I started educating myself in health and wellbeing and thus did not take my health for granted anymore. I never had any health issues growing up, or in my 20's and 30's and therefore never thought it was particularly necessary to look after myself. I ignored the silent signs of my body and constantly pushed myself beyond my capabilities. Partly because I thought people were expecting me to do so and partly because I was trying to prove to myself I could conquer anything, life was throwing at me. And there was a lot thrown at me.... However, after years of doing that, my body and mind decided 'enough was enough' and shut down. I had a burnout! I was physically and emotionally drained, exhausted to the point that I could hardly function. A huge wake-up call. So, I quit my job and took some time out to re-evaluate my life and never looked back.
Before deciding to train in the various health and wellbeing disciplines, I had worked as a multilingual marketing professional in Germany, Belgium and here in the UK. I moved to Kenilworth, Warwickshire with my family 11 years ago and we have made this lovely town our home.
If life has taught me one lesson, it is to never push beyond your limits, as you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Today, I am excited and humbled to be able to share my knowledge, experience and passion for health and wellbeing with other people and to help them find
their balance in life. I deliver sessions face-to-face or virtually via Zoom.
I am a member of the Association for Coaching and abide to their Global Code of Ethics.
